Account & Data Deletion
Delete your account and data
You can permanently delete your Lookbox account and the personal data stored with it, apart from the records listed under What we keep. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete from the app
The fastest way is right inside Lookbox, no request needed:
- Open Lookbox and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the ⋮ menu next to the Profile title, then Delete account.
- Confirm in the dialog. Your account, wardrobe and photos are removed from Lookbox immediately; backup copies are removed within 30 days (see What we keep below).
Request deletion without the app
If you cannot open the app, you can still request deletion. Email us from the address you used to sign in so we can verify the request:
Subject: "Delete my Lookbox account". We verify ownership through your sign-in email and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your account and the data listed below. What we keep is described in the next section.
- Your account and profile (name and email from your Google or Apple sign-in, and your Google profile picture).
- Every wardrobe item, including its attributes.
- Every look generated for you, including saved favorites.
- All photos you uploaded, including the original images, from our storage. Copies that our AI providers received follow their own retention policies (see our Privacy Policy).
- Your reports of generated content, including your comments.
- Product analytics and feedback linked to your account. We ask our analytics provider to delete them about two hours after the deletion; see the Privacy Policy.
- If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke Lookbox's access to your Apple Account. If Lookbox still appears in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple, you can remove it there yourself.
What we keep
We keep the following permanently, under your former account identifier (a random code), without your name, email or photos:
- a usage and cost record of paid processing operations (costs, token counts, and the model used), to meet accounting and legal obligations;
- a record that the account was deleted, so that late requests or a restore from a backup cannot recreate your data.
We also keep our email correspondence with you, such as a deletion request, in our mailbox indefinitely as a record of your request. If you bought on the web, Paddle keeps its own records of your purchases, including your email address (see Subscriptions below).
Some copies expire on their own instead of being removed at once: database and storage backups within 30 days, and server and sign-in logs within 30 days. Error and performance reports in Sentry, including any about the deletion itself, are deleted within 90 days. They can hold your account identifier and the other details listed under Error monitoring in our Privacy Policy, but not your name, email or the photos you uploaded. A Sign in with Apple token is kept only until Apple confirms that Lookbox's access is revoked or refuses the token.
A few analytics events remain: anonymous ones recording the deletion, and any sent later from another device that was still signed in, which recreate an analytics profile. Neither kind is linked to your name or email, and PostHog deletes these events automatically within 12 months (see our Privacy Policy).
Subscriptions
Deleting your account cancels a web subscription right away, without an automatic refund for the rest of the period (see our Refund Policy). Requests by email take up to 30 days: to avoid a renewal in the meantime, cancel your subscription first: a web subscription in Lookbox on the web (app.lookbox.style, Profile, Subscription) or with the link in Paddle's emails, a Google Play subscription in Google Play. A Google Play subscription is cancelled too, so you are not charged again. An App Store subscription is not cancelled automatically: cancel it in your Apple Account settings first.
If you bought on the web, Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record, keeps its own records of your purchases, including your email address, as the law requires. Lookbox cannot delete them; see Paddle's Privacy Notice for how to contact Paddle about that data.
